The Spot is a 100% volunteer run registered 501c3 dedicated to improving the lives of local children by providing access to food, clothing, school supplies and personal care items via free resource rooms in Canandaigua and Victor. There are many ways to support our mission:

Donate Goods

Cleaning out your closets? We accept new and used kids' clothes. Headed out on a shopping trip? Pick up some school supplies. All physical donations can be dropped off at The Spot donation bins located at the Elementary Entrance of the Canandaigua PES or the Elementary, Primary, Intermediate or JH Entrances at Victor Schools.

Gently used donations should be in good working order, clean, and free from rips and stains. We DO NOT accept adult style clothing, used underwear, used socks or used sneakers, books, toys, baby clothes, gear, household items, appliances, towels, bedding or furniture. Please help our volunteers by ensuring donated items meet these standards.

Do you own or manage a local business? Are you part of a service organization? Host our Spot bin and collect donations, offer a customer incentive for donating, or create an event that works for you!

Partner with Us

Ensuring every student has what they need to learn is truly a community effort. We work with businesses, organizations, student groups, churches, and individuals on a variety of partnerships that are mutually beneficial. We can design an event, drive, or program that works for your organization and helps you meet your goals for community engagement and brand awareness while helping the local children who need it most. We can assist with the planning, development of program marketing materials, advertising, and much more!
